mel`s diner in Mountain Home

I finally found a very nice place to have a very good breakfast. The food was prepared exactly the way I ordered it. This is the first breakfast restaurant in town that doesn't serve burnt bacon. The bacon was perfect. The staff were very friendly and fast, unlike some of the other breakfast restaurants in town. Definitely will come back and highly recommend this restaurant

The food is always excellent.And the portions are a great size.Always have a great experiences when we go.The service is good and fast.Most of the Staff is very nice, there is a couple of waitresses that are rude.The young man who works there is our favorite.He is always happy, energetic and amazing.I recommend this restaurant to everyone.I wish they would stay open later in the day.

We just ate there this morning. It took a long time to get waited on, and a ridiculous amount of time to get our food. My French toast was barely warm enough to halfway melt the butter. Prices are decent but this is the second chance we have given Mel’s diner and both times we’ve had bad experiences. We will not be back.

Be careful the servings are huge. Nice place good service, closes at 2pm open at 7am.

Nice little diner, food was good, except specifically asked if gravy had sausage. Waitress stated yes, but it appeared cook dropped a cut up sausage in one plate because he asked. Waited way too long for breakfast food, over 50 minutes! We arrived at 10:05 on a Sunday, and food arrived just before 11! And not one person apologized for the wait or offered any indication why. Didn’t even get asked if things were ok when we left, appeared they knew it wasn’t a good experience!

Service was excellent and our waitress was friendly and prompt. Pancakes were great.

Mel's is a good breakfast and it is right around the corner from the park we run at on the weekends.

The food is dependable. We usually get breakfast at Mel's and we enjoy Desk very much and try to set in his area when we go.

The prices were awesome and the food was fantastic. They remolded the inside and it looks very nice and clean. One of the best breakfasts in town.

Very good food and the people are very friendly

Waited 5 minutes to get my drink. Then waited 35 minutes for my food, bacon and eggs. My waitress was rude and also did not ask to refill my drink. Was told this was a good place to go as I would rather eat at ma and Pa restaurants but honestly this was the worst experience I've had with any local diner. I don't like leaving bad reviews but this was my experience and I do not believe that I will give them my business anytime I am in Mountain Home ever again.

They are a diner, I had eaten there before but their speed in delivering meals had declined drastically, I waited almost 30 minutes just for a sunny side up and some toast. While the food was good the time was a bit too much for the food.

Loved it! It was my first time there and the food and service we're very good. I was impressed at how cleaned it looked as well.

Excellent service. My family friend Caleb, works here as a chef and he's an amazing person. His wife was out waitress and we had a great time. 10/10 would spend money here any day.

The food was very good and the service was absolutely top notch. If I had a complaint it would be the lack of healthy options on the menu.

Based on all of the amazing reviews on Google, I decided to give Mel's Diner a try. I understand that the farmer's market is going on today, and it is a Saturday. Also, I understand the situation about being understaffed and being busy. However, my friend and I waited nearly an hour for our food to come out. On top of that, my french toast and bacon weren't very good, so I wasn't able to finish my food. My french toast tasted bland. As much as I wanted to give this restaurant a shot, I probably won't be coming back anytime soon. Thank you for serving us today.

We was there for an hour and still no food. Yes they was busy but even the waitress never came back to even check on us after we got our drinks. Bad service, bunch of waitresses but none of them even talked to anyone except for the very feminine man that works there. Not happy would give no stars if possible

Best Sunday morning breakfast place after a night of drinking

The food was okay but the kitchen staff was making so much noise that we couldn’t have a conversation. Yelling and laughing. It was very unprofessional.

We ate there on memorial day. Wait was very long for our food, but excellent. Very tasty, and staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back.

Sat there for 40 min without begetting my food. Just decided to leave

Very friendly staff and great food for the price of only $5.39!! Hamburger and fries. Delicious!! They close at 2pm but serve breakfast from opening to close. Well known for their breakfast! Packed in the mornings!
